It's finally my turn to rant about RotF! I've been avoiding all the journals I've seen so I wouldn't get any spoilers and now I've finally seen it!

My overall thoughts is...Dissapointing!

Not saying it was bad. But it didn't meet my expectations. I feel a little stupid having counted down the days till it would come out.

The comic relief was pretty good, Sam's mom was hilarious (and reminds me and Shawna of my mom =_. When Bee was being mean to the android chick in Sam's car, the enemies scrotum and Wheelie(I think that's who it was?) humping Mikaela's leg. I think they did good with the making us laugh!

The Fallen. I think that whole part was a bit off. I'm pretty sure Megatron wouldn't be the type to bow and take orders from someone else! It's just not how it works. I do like how they brought the Energon crisis into the story, but the part about destroying a star I didn't really get. Was that just an excuse to make a bigger saving the world scenario? If anyone caught that part a bit better please enlighten me.

Optimus' death. Probably the best part of the movie! If we weren't in a theater I'd probably be yelling at the screen. I knew it was going to happen because Optimus seems to die in every series! Luckily he always does, and did come back. I started to get teary eyed at his death though.
On the subject of his death; The Matrix. I was sensing some sort of Rodimus thing going to happen. Maybe it's because when Sam picked it up and it turned to dust Shawna said,"Nice going Rodimus."? But when Sam had his near-death experience and the Prime's informed him that the Matrix is to be earned. I really had the feeling he was somehow going to become a robot and earn it, thus having a total Rodimus moment. I'm glad they brought Optimus back instead.

Character develpoment was horrible! Ironhide and Ratchet got about three lines. The new silver guy(Sideswipe? Please forgive me if I get all these names wrong but they weren't mentioned in the movie because of lack of character development!) didn't get any lines. The only Autobots you really get to know are the twins who I hated! They were completley useless!
I am glad they developed the Starscream/Megatron relationship a bit, there was just the moment of slight verbal abuse in the first movie. Those two were probably the best for that.

The college really annoyed me. Every girl was a stereotypical college slut, and every guy was a stereotypical college douche. The scene with the professor and the apple. WTF was up with that? That whole part of the movie gave me the impression they were just trying to impress the people who have never seen Transformers other then the first movie and are just watching for the hot actors and explosions. It didn't seem to really be for younger audiences either.

So there you go. My opinion on Revenge of the Fallen. It wasn't a total fail, but it didn't meet my expectations.
